Health Safety and Environment Policy

Abhay Ocean believes that all accidents can be avoided through adherence to the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Systems, good working practice and safety awareness among all employees. All managers and employees in ABHAY OCEAN shall be proactive in continuously improving Safety. Managers have a special obligation to ensure that employees are trained and motivated to follow safe working practice.

People constitute the most valuable asset of ABHAY OCEAN and, accordingly, all practical steps shall be taken to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees, contractors, sub-contractors and any other persons involved in our operations onshore and offshore.

We further believe that safe healthy working conditions, and the protection of the environment is part of good management practice, which improves business results by reducing injuries, ill-health, losses and liabilities, while improving morale and productivity. Accordingly, HSE objectives have a similar value to any other objectives in ABHAY OCEAN.

We consider that improvement of the working environment must be an ongoing process, and that legal requirements simply define a minimum level of achievement. Each and every level of management has HSE responsibilities, and its accountability commitment must be demonstrated throughout all levels. Similarly, employees have an obligation to collaborate on all HSE matters, exert self-discipline, maintain HSE awareness and prevent injury to themselves and others.

We will ensure that HSE information is obtained, communicated and made available as and where required.

The monitoring of HSE performances and the evaluation of the HSE policy is an on-going process.
